Description
Gulper Special
The Gulper Special was conceived by Al Troth who came up with this fly while fishing Hebgen Lake in Montana. It is a parachute style fly and a Callibaetis imitation. The body of the fly rides lower the surface film like a real mayfly and some people find the parachute wing is easier to see. Because the hackle rests horizontally on the water, the fly floats well and also imitates mayfly spinners laying flush in the water, as well as duns, which have upright wings.
Great for Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and more.
